Although a south facing roof is the optimal sighting for solar panels, we can fit them on either east or west facing roofs alongside a number of alternative solutions to reach your maximum energy output.
As solar panels have no moving parts, there is no need for regular maintenance, in fact, you don’t usually even need to clean your solar panels – we get enough rain in the UK to do that for you!
All Solar Panels supplied and fitted by ACD Electrical Green-Tech Ltd come with a 25 Year Warranty.

The Feed-in-tariff (FIT) closed in 2019 but you can now get payments for your exported energy with the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG). SEG payments are calculated by using export meter readings. SEG Generators are paid by their chosen SEG Licensee for the electricity which they export back to the National Grid.
Solar Panels produce DC (Direct Current) which then connects to your Inverter and transforms the DC Voltage into AC Voltage (Alternating Current) for use in your home or to be exported to the national grid.
You can charge your car, heat your hot water or power a whole number of appliances using excess solar energy.
A monofacial solar panel only absorbs sunlight from the front surface of the solar panel while the bifacial solar panel features solar cells on both sides. As you can imagine, when you are producing energy from both sides of the panel, you increase the amount of electricity that can be produced.
In most cases, you will not need planning permission to install solar panels on your property as they would normally fall under what is referred to as permitted development rights.
A kW (Kilowatt) is a unit of measurement and a kWh (Kilowatt Hour) is a measure of how much energy you are using. An example is a 100 Watt Lightbulb would take 10 Hours to rack up 1 kWh but a 2000 watt Dishwasher would use 1 kWh in just 30 Minutes.
